Amazon.com Review: With a capacity of 2.36 ounces, this sleek machine employsstainless-steel blades to grind enough coffee beans for brewing up totwelve 5-ounce cups of percolator, drip, or espresso coffee. Thegrinder can be filled with beans and the amount of beans it grinds canbe selected with a dial that's calibrated by number of cups desired: 4,6, 8, 10, or 12. During operation, lights above the on/off button flashon the grind selector, indicating when the grind is coarse, medium, orfine, permitting the grinder to be shut off when the desired grind isachieved. The grind selector displays the words 'coarse,' 'medium,' and'fine' along with the brewing method appropriate for each grind:respectively, 'perc' (percolator), 'drip,' and 'espresso.' Clad ingleaming black plastic with matte silver accents, the hourglass-shapedgrinder is thoroughly contemporary in appearance and has a rubberizedgrip and push-in cord storage. Rubberized feet prevent it from slippingduring operation. It carries a one-year warranty against defects.--Fred Brack
Customer Reviews Average Rating: Rating: - Works great, but not what I wanted Well, the grinder I wanted was a burr grinder, and this isn't one.I thought it was because it can grind to different levels or "coarse-ness", but that is because you just grind longer. I kept it anyway. Now the good:
The unit is very quiet as far as coffee grinders go; I do not have to worry about waking up the kids having my morning coffee. Also, it does not generate ANY static on the grounds, which is a real pain with other grinders.
I would have given it 5 stars, but ... Read More
Rating: - Best thing next to a burr grinder I've had this grinder going on 5 years and have never had a problem with it.Yes, you have to hold the button down, but its easily done while wrapping your hand around the whole unit.It gets fresh beans to a coarse grind in under 10 seconds.Another 10, and you're at espresso fine. The cup has measurement indicators on the side which are nice.I've used the espresso grind in one of the mass-market espresso machines pretty often, and its just fine for home use.I just started getting into french ... Rating: - Old faithful! No Mess!! We've had the DeLonghi grinder for almost three years. It still works perfectly! We're especially pleased that it's a very clean grinder. Comes with a one year warranty although we never had to use it. Would definitely purchase again.
Rating: - Just what I wanted! I knew what I wanted and was happy I could get it at Amazon for a reasonable price. It was delivered in a timely manner and I am using it with pleasure. One thing though:Just under ten dollars for shipping is exessive. Kinda felt like I was being taken advantage of.
Rating: - A bit over-priced for what you get I got this because I had a burr grinder that couldn't do an espresso grind and a regular grinder that took a while to do an espresso grind.I also had a $30 gift card for a store I never buy anything at so I was looking for something I would use.I actually thought I was getting a burr grinder, since $30 is rather expensive for a grinder which just has a spinning blade and the description on the other web site was rather sparse.
What is nice is that the espresso grind works very well.It ... Read More
