I bought this knife set mostly because i needed a paring knife. I also wanted the Wusthof brand since all of my other knives are that brand and have proved to be of superb quality.
The price is what attracted me to this set. I figured it would be better to get more knives for this price rather than one paring knife for about the same price. I really only use the 3 in paring knife.I have had this set for many years and recently bought it for a relative who was very pleased I did.The peeling and straight utility knives are seldem used but its nice to have them when you need them. The steel used in Wusthof knives seem to take and hold an edge better than any other knife I own.The 6 in chef knife completes the other 5% which is used for bigger jobs.
