Rating:  - So many uses besides just for marinating.
I received the clear model and love it.I use it all the time to marinate chicken breasts, cubed steak, fish and so many other meats.I also have used it to store dry foods and leftovers I want to save in the fridge.Once the air is taken out of the container there is no way you can open it unless you turn the knob to release the seal.I dropped the container by accident once and it did not break open which really amazed me.Very tight seal.

This is my favorite accessory of all the accessories.Any time I make Kung Pau Chicken, we all know I have to get the FoodSaver marinator out and marinate the chicken in the sauce.This dish is heavy duty, easy to clean, easy to store, and easy to stack.I'd like a few more in this size.

I bought this to replace a marinator that had a manual pump, not realizing (although that is my fault) that you need a Foodsaver to use it!We ended up getting the Foodsaver vacuum sealer system, and have liked all the products so far.It is easy to use, quick to marinate, and easy to clean.

I've been using this when I forgot to marinate something for dinner. So far just chicken and steaks. It works great. I'd give it 5 stars if you could put the lid in the dishwasher; the bottom is dishwasher safe only (top shelf of dishwasher).
Also, just be sure to spin the knob to closed BEFORE removing the vaccuum tube (I know it seems obvious, but you'd be surprised...)
