Rating: - Stovetop Percolator Makes a Good Old Cup of Coffee
This stainless percolator is nicely finished and well designed.It is easy to clean and perks a cup of coffee like that rich black brew my parents made.The stainless steel is less fragile than the aluminum models, does not require "seasoning" as they did, does not contaminate the coffee, and can be thoroughly cleaned without losing the "seasoning."

This is DEFINITELY what I was looking for and for a great price!Looked everywhere... all the major Dept. Stores... and of course, I wound up at Amazon who always seems to have what I'm looking for! If you want the taste and smell of coffee that way it used to be (or like walking into Starbucks) this is the one to get. For some reason, the handle was wrapped separately from the pot.There's a screw in the handle, but no hole in the pot for a screw so I can actually attach it.Am I supposed to drill a hole and hope the screw is long enough?Don't think so -- this item will be returned tomorrow.

I purchased this percolator to keep in case of power outages so I could use on the burner of my gas grill.I did, of course, try it to see how it works.It made the coffee very nicely and I liked that you don't need to use a filter with it.The grounds all stayed within the basket.It is a lovely staniless steel pot.I would recommend it.

The Farberware Classic Yosemite Percolator is excellent overall.I was worried about the internal parts and whether they were made of aluminum or stainless steel, since there was nothing in the description or previous reviews on that.It was indeed made of the stainless steel, which is a mark of quality in my book.So many of the others I looked at were made of aluminum, which for health and medical reasons I have heard about, plus taste factors, I did not want.
