Large enough to hold a massive turkey, two chickens, or a family-size primerib, this 16-1/2-inch roasting pan is clad in three layers of nonstick coating durableenough to withstand oven heat to 450 degrees F. It comes with a nonstick rack that liftsfood off the pan's bottom for uniform, all-around roasting while preventing a turkey'sback from boiling in pan juices. Because it's nonstick, the rack won't pull off pieces of thebird's browned skin. Made of anodized aluminum, the pan is harder than steel andconducts heat evenly whether it's baking lasagna or caramelizing a roast's pan juices. Thepan's riveted, cast-stainless-steel handles stand straight up for easy handling and are largeenough to accommodate oven mitts. The rack has its own set of large handles. Rating: - A sturdy essential to any kitchen and easy to clean
Our former pan went AWOL during our move--we repurchased immediately for the holidays. This pan has a rack, an excellent feature, good high handles and non-stick finish on the rack. This is a sturdy standby -- a must in any kitchen.
The only negative about a non-stick roasting pan is that the carmelization process of drippings does not work on a non-stick surface as it does on a plain surface. The fat seems to bead up and prevent the formation of that lovely dark stuff on the bottom of ... Read More
