Product Description: The MD-MT821 lets you enjoy long hours of high-quality digital music on the go. A large shock-resistant memory ensures smooth playback, even if used while jogging or driving in a car.The MD-MT821's lightweight and compact body is just about the size of an MD case. Its size and lightweight design make it ideal for the active music enthusiast. Just slip it into your pocket and take it wherever you go. Enjoy long hours of music listening on the go with the included rechargeable lithium-ion battery. A single charge can provide you with up to 11.5 hours of non-stop playback and up to 8 hours of non-stop recording. Even longer playback and recording times can be achieved when combined with an AA battery by using the supplied detachable battery case. The MD-MT821 has a large memory buffer of 40 seconds maximum thanks to 16 Mbits of DRAM. This virtually eliminates the annoying skipping that can occur when using the MD player in a car or when jogging. The high-fidelity earphones have a convenient backlit LCD remote control that displays information such as disc/track name, battery status and play mode. Operating the MD player is easy even in dark locations. Triple Shuttle Buttons are also provided for convenient control of MD functions such as playback, off and volume level.
Customer Reviews Average Rating: Rating: - Truely Amazing Very easy to use.Buttons are easy to push and are displayed in a very logical way, although the remote feels a little small, but still very easy to use.I've used this so many times to record live performances and each time the recordings come out very well and even the bass is clear on the recordings.I've had this MD recorder for a couple years and have had no problems with it whatsoever.Battery life is also really good and playback quality is very clear.
Rating: - A very good product. I got mine in Japan several years ago, before it was released in the United States (mine's a cool metallic blue in color). It's an extremely convenient product. I use it to copy Mp3s, CDs, and all sorts of things, and now that I'm in college, it's tons more convenient than using one of those tiny casette recorders to get down a lecture. The price has gone down considerably since I got it. I paid 50,000Y (about $420 US) and I still think it's worth that price. The Sony equivelant is a little slimmer, ... Read More
Rating: - buy an extended waranty i don't own this particular brand or model of mini disc player but i have had a competitors model for 10 months. my only advice: BUY AN EXTENDED WARANTY- the best one you can get. These are finicky gadgets that are prone to break. mine worked great right up to the time it quit, and was then replaced under an extended waranty (thank goodness). i would not buy one unless u can get an extended waranty. Note: i have never before bought of had to use an extended waranty on anything else, but these gadgets ... Read More
Rating: - Best product I've bought in years I just got this thing the other day and have been fooling around with it.I just love what this little thing can do, I didn't realize it's full capabilities until i read the maunual.I've been able to record mp3s I've been dying to take everywhere I go, and the analog recordings really don't sound that bad.I have yet to use the optical cable, but I think the quality there is near perfect.Snag one of these while you can, I'm not sure how much longer they'll be making them.
Rating: - Recording Does Not Get Easier I just got this MD player and I absolutely love it! I find it to be muchmore convenient than having a CD player/burner combo, and the quality isgreat! Recording from a computer (that may not have a optical output) willrequire purchasing a mini-plug cable ($3.99) and connecting it fromheadphone output jack to the line in jack in the recorder. It is reallyeasy!
