America's favorite slave to baked goods, Cookie Monster, is the star of this very funny collection of comic sketches culled from the insatiable Muppet's tenure on Sesame Street. From the opening scene--in which the wild-eyed Cookie yields to pure impulse and devours a cookbook (rather than wait for a pastry recipe to be fully realized in his kitchen)--the longtime Children's Television Workshop character never fails to entertain with his charming anarchy. Also on the program are classic Sesame Street songs 'C Is for Cookie' (and its spinoff, 'C Drives Me Crazy,' featuring a guest appearance by the Fine Young Cannibals), 'If Moon Were a Cookie,' and the touching 'What Is Friend?' The high point, however, is the gravel-voiced Cookie's scene with actress Annette Bening, who helps him sort out the difference between a 'Cookie Here and There.' Rating:  - Vocals kind of turn me off.
Opethian cookie monster vocals are simply silly. When you can sing as well as he can then why not just stick to regular. I cringe when I hear that. I would rather listen to the original Cookie Monster.

This Video is Great, My Grandchildren LOVE it and I laughed and enjoyed it too! Fun for ALL AGES!

Cookie Monster is always fun and most of the content of this DVD is ok, but a small part of it seems as fill-in... Too bad the DVD is too short.
Rating: - A fun DVD
If you're just looking for a video that is fun and entertaining for your kids, this is a good choice.
Not so energetic that it gets them too wound up, but upbeat enough to hold their interest and make them giggle.
There are a few songs to dance to, and all in all, some of the best Cookie Monster skits you'll find in once place.
Rating:  - A few "scary" scenes for a very young viewer
While my 15 month old son quite likes this DVD, there are two clips with a night time/dark background that we have to skip to avoid crying.
