Product Description: High above the city, a young guardian searches for the enemy...and finds love.
In a city rife with evil, masked protectors secretly watch over the inhabitants, keeping the citizens safe while hiding their own identity. One young Sentinel, however, violates her oath and loses her heart to the woman she is charged to protect. By day, Pagan Osborne is a shy security specialist working in the family business. By night, as a Sentinel, she fulfills a greater family legacy and battles the criminals who threaten Chastilian's peace. Erith Baylor, a fiery young woman with her own secrets to hide, is drawn to Pagan's quiet charm and silent strength. But with so many secrets between them, their attraction could break the ties of family and finally reveal the truth behind the mask.
Customer Reviews Average Rating: Rating: - What a Debut! This was a great book. I'm not a prolific reviewer. I tend to only write reviews for those books that I really encourage others to read because I enjoyed them so much. This is one of them.
This is the first novel by writer Lesley Davis. A sci-fi lesfic book, set in the city of Chastilian. The city is in the grips of a criminal underground that no one can stop, except the Sentinels.

Rating: - truth behind the mask Great character developement. One of the best written stories from a 1st time writer I have read in a long time. Send me more. Not usually into Sci-fi but really like this.
Rating: - If Batman were a woman or Dark Angel were a lesbian
This really is a fantastic storyline. If you enjoy Batman or Dark Angel, you'll enjoy this one -- provided you don't mind really poor dialogue. It's unfortunate that the editors didn't help with this - really unfortunate. The storyline is so very good, and the characters so well developed, this had the potential to be a five star -- if only the dialogue wasn't so awkward, strained, forced to sound casual when there is nothing casual about these characters.
Rating: - Brilliant New Author From the moment I first opened this novel and was introduced to the world of the Sentinals, I was hooked. The Author captured me with her ability to bring these characters to life in a realistic world. The mix of love, innocence, devotion, loyalty, honor, suspense, danger and bravery is complex in its entirity yet simple in its execution. Davis, in her debut novel with BSB stamps her mark on the furture of sci fi within the lesbian genre. If this book doesnt at least receive nomination ... Read More
