Product Description:

Dark forces are at work at the House of Night and fledgling vampyre Zoey Redbird’s adventures at the school take a mysterious turn.  Those who appear to be friends are turning out to be enemies.  And oddly enough, sworn enemies are also turning into friends.  So begins the gripping third installment of this “highly addictive series” (Romantic Times), in which Zoey’s mettle will be tested like never before.  Her best friend, Stevie Rae, is undead and struggling to maintain a grip on her humanity. Zoey doesn’t have a clue how to help her, but she does know that anything she and Stevie Rae discover must be kept secret from everyone else at the House of Night, where trust has become a rare commodity.  Speaking of rare: Zoey finds herself in the very unexpected and rare position of having three boyfriends. Mix a little bloodlust into the equation and the situation has the potential to spell social disaster.  Just when it seems things couldn’t get any tougher, vampyres start turning up dead. Really dead. It looks like the People of Faith, and Zoey’s horrid step-father in particular, are tired of living side-by-side with vampyres.  But, as Zoey and her friends so often find out, how things appear rarely reflects the truth…

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Zoey cannot always be good!
I read the reviews on this book before I bought it and was really surprised at the number of people that didn't like it since the previous books were so awesome. I am even more surprised now that I have read the book because I think it complements the series extremely well. Zoey is not perfect and neither are her friends. Throughout the book I kept asking myself what would I do if I was in Zoey's shoes and I never did come up with an answer. She has to make extremely tough decisions and as such, ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Loved it
Oh my god this so far is the best book in the house of night series!!! I loved it, it made me laugh, it made me cry, and it made me feel like Zoey! The way it was written let me be connected with the characters and it felt so real!!! I can't wait for the next one to come out!!! This series is even better than the Twilight series!!!

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - liked it ok
I like this series, but I did have some problems with this one because I felt that the problems were repeated over and over again, and not only was it repetitive it was getting annoying. I enjoy reading these books but I had thought that Zoey's character was stronger and more mature than how she acted in the books and her friends should not have just BAILED on her, they should always stick around no matter what, they should try to understand where she is coming from and how she must feel.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Early disappointment, better towards the end...
After finishing the second book, I was eager to continue the series. My enthusiasm diminished as I progressed through the book.It took me much longer to get through this book, and I read other books while attempting to finish it.
First, the whole "3" boyfriends has gotten stale and degrading.Zoey is supposed to have been "Chosen" by Nyx as exceptional and has powers that exceed any before, yet she continually makes bad choices, even murderous, through the book. One thing I've learned ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Intrigue and romance continue to reign in the House of Night
