This is a nice dvd player at a good price. I bought a new sony in place of my old one. The only reason I gave it a four is because there are not many control buttons on the player itself. The remote comes with it but if it were to brake you wouldn't be able to use it.

After unpacking this item, I just used once and after that no power to the player, returned the piece to Amazon.

I bought this player with the hopes that it was everything everyone said it was. WOW!!! it is what they said and more. I love the quality of the picture and the 1080p is amazing. If your thinking upconvert then this is the player for you. It really goes well with my Sony 46 inch LCD v4100 series TV

Sony DVD player is fine, but the package should include the connecting cord which cost me $40.00at Wally world.

This is the first review I've ever written.This player is THE best DVD player I have ever owned.The audio output on the player is fantastic.Never heard my surround set-up work so well.It even plays DVD Audio discs with superb separation.
Highly recommend this player from Sony and especailly at this price!
I have a Toshiba HD DVD player and it doesn't compare to the Sony.
