| | | DVD Ratatouille | | | | | | | | | | | Rating: - Ratatouille Brilliant animation, humorous characters and an upbeat, funny storyline make this a standout movie for kids of all ages, including my old self.
Rating: - One of The Most Enjoyable Animated Movies I Have Ever Watched I cannot say enough good things about this Movie. It left me with a smile on my face.Just a wonderful movie.Perfect for kids of all ages!I guess somes Rodents besides Mickey Mouse are very cute, as long as they are not living in your house!
Rating: - Love this movie! We have five boys, and we are always looking for movies that the whole family can enjoy. Our oldest is 14, we then have a 12, 9 and 4 year old, the baby can't enjoy a great movie yet, but in time I predict this will be a favorite.
There were some very sophisticated jokes in this film, but there was enough slapstick to keep our younger boys entertained. The story moved along with enough momentum to keep us all interested, but not so slow that the younger boys lose interest. My older boys got a kick out of the premise, but the idea that we can be whatever we desire was not lost on them either, and isn't that a fine lesson for anyone to learn/and or remember?
This was a great family movie, and I certainly think it lives up to Pixar's reputation, we are waiting with bated breath for Wall*E.
Check this movie out...you won't be disappointed.
Rating: - You will believe a rat can cook! In an age of overstimulation, car chases, crashes, and the planet being in peril more than once a week, Ratatouille is good old fashioned, classic storytelling at its finest.
If you love a good story.See this film. If you love a good movie.See this film. If you have kids.See this film. If you are single. See this film.
What you will find are themes that are universal to us all.The need to be true to yourself, to overcome humble beginnings to become someone special, the need to persevere when those closest to you don'tunderstand, and out of their best intentions seek to teach you to play it safe.
You will find that Ratatouille works on so many levels.
My favorite scene is when Remy is captured an locked in the chef's trunk.Ready to give up he is rescued, but not before the ghost of Gusteau challenges him to be who he truly is, not who other people want him to be.No matter the consequences, he is not a rat, he is a Chef, and Chef's must cook to be true to himself.
Be sure to savor the scene where Anton Ego, the critic, tastes Remy's Ratatouille. For those of us older types, it can be a very poignant moment.
Most Highly Recommended!
Cheer!
Rating: - Be sure to give gifts that are age appropriate We purchased the DVD as a gift for a convent for retired nuns.Their glee at receiving it was overwhelming but the sound and pictures were difficult for them to enjoy with their set up so they did not experienc the full joy and fun of this outstanding work.
