Works well to keep your laptop in an acceptable position when used on the couch so it doesn't slide, block the vents, or potentially damage the power cord. Also works well on your lap if your laptop gets too hot.

I purchased 1 for my wife and 1 for myself based on the reviews.We have to agree that this is an excellent product and it exceeds our expectations.It keeps my lap cool and positions my notebook at the right height whether I am in the bed our sitting on the couch.I highly recommend this product.
Rating:  - Do not order this product if you have a 17inch lap.
The Good
If you have a 15.4 inch laptop, expect a great product that is stable and not wobbly. I tested it.
The Bad
If you have a 17inch laptop, expect a product that does not support your laptop effectively. "Flip it over and presto you have a surface for a 17inch laptop" Hardly, the base is now smaller then the top. When moving it off your lap, you have to be extra careful the laptop does not tip over, because it will. ( I tested this on a soft surface, completely top heavy on the screen side and fell right over) This is an accident waiting to happen with a 17inch laptop. The manufacture should be ashamed to advise this for use with a 17inch laptop. Because this was obviously designed for a 15inch laptop.
Rating: - Does the job
This product definitely works as advertised.It helps keep the laptop and your lap cool.It it also raises the laptop up and it angles it towards you so it is much more comfortable to work from the couch.I would give it 5 stars; however I think it is a little over-priced.While it works great...it is still just a mold of hard foam covered in cloth.
Rating: - Not great for cooling the computer - good for user's comfort, though.
My experience with this item is that it doesn't really keep my computer cool (I can easily feel the heat on the bottom of the computer when I'm finished using it), but it does keep the heat off me.It's comfortable, and has a good angle for typing.After using this awhile, I decided to buy the Belkin laptop cooler with the built-in fan, and that works extremely well for keeping the computer from building up heat.I usually use both together.I think the CushTop is worth having from a comfort perspective, but I don't think anyone should expect it to help their computer very much.
