Kitchen & Housewares Panasonic NN-SD667S 1-1/5-Cubic-Foot 1300-Watt Microwave Oven, Stainless Steel

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Worked for about a week...
I also did not get this item through Amazon, but I feel that I need to share this review with potential buyers.Ours also died after about 10 days. One morning it simply stopped working, displaying an error message H97.Fortunately, I was able to get a full refund through the retailer I purchased it from.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The Best I've Seen So Far
This is the most satisfying microwave I've had in many years. There is even a special timer to automatically keep the meal after it's finished for the time specified on a frozen dinner. The round pop-up button works extremely well. Buy this one.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Not what it's cracked up to be!
This unit went back after 3 days of use.I tried to defrost 2 oz. of chicken breast and the inside fogged up so bad I didn't think it was venting properly.I also didn't like the lack of light when opening the oven or the difficult to read/use panel. It's nearly impossible to simply set a time for defrosting - the oven wants to weigh and measure and decide for itself. The panel was so difficult to read that I had to use a flashlight in order to program the microwave. All in all, not a very convenient appliance.

I was replacing a 26 year old Panasonic which was just getting tired but it has been returned to my counter until I can find something that offers more and better features than what I already have.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Another unreliable Panasonic inverter model
Mine died also...right after the warranty ran out. There is simply no excuse for this. Comments like: "These things happen" do not help our understanding. It is very attractive, worked okay, but died and the repair is more expensive than a replacement. I don't expect it to last ten years, but I also don't expect to spend one hundred dollars every year. These machines are not that complicated. There is a way to ensure quality control and consistency. They might make great audio equipment, but I would not buy a microwave from them until I read some reliable reports about their dependability.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Panasonic NN-SD667s microwave oven
Our previous Panasonic microwave oven lasted 20 years, so Panasonic is where I started looking when we needed to replace it.I was distressed when I read allthe negative reviews. When I read the reviews for other manufacturers I found that they were no better. As one reviewer noted, all product lines have their lemons.

Our experience has been very good. This model is more powerful so we've had to adjust our timings for thawing and reheating items.I'm not a fan of microwave cooked meals, but thawing and reheating quickly is important to us.

We've had it for more than a month now and it is working very well.I generally don't like automatic features like defrosting so I usually just manually set power and time and all is well. The dial took a little getting used to but the display works well and there have been no difficulties. We highly recommend this product.
