| | | Electronics Panasonic Dect 6.0 Series 4 Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System (KX-TG1034S) | | | | | | | | | | | Rating: - Great set of phones I have been looking for a home intercom system for some time but when I found this phone set of 4 handsets had a built in intercom capability for about the same price as two intercoms I bought these. Now I have a phone in the workshop, den, and replaced two others in the kitchen and sunroom. Now I can not only answer the phone from several locations but can be paged or page my spouse from any of the four locations. I'd recommend this set to anyone needing multiple phones and desiring a nice intercom capability. Much better than yelling "call for you!". Might have given 5 stars but haven't had it long enough.
Rating: - Much Improved - Could have been Better We purchased the KX-TG1034S(with 4 handsets), AND the KX-TG1033S(with 3 handsets)for two different locations. They replace much earlier 2.4Ghzmodels. The GOOD news: Setup and registration was easy and the self registration was also helpful. The batteries last MUCH longer (talk over 4 hours), and I have not left the handset out long enough to know the standby time. Sound, and lack of Interference, are remarkable! Range is good, about the same as the previous models, however, could be better. Overall, these are 'smarter' with improved features and performance. However, The BAD news: The Base station lacks several items; 1) an Intercom function, with a 'Handset-specific Page Feature' 2) the Answering Machine lacks 'Message Counter' or Audio message waiting Indicator, 3)Capture device for the Telephone wire{small item}. The 'Hands-Free' audio quality is sometimes poor on the other end. The Handsets seem to drop connection more often then the 2.4Ghz model. The Yellow light {indicating charge} can NOT be turned off, and only blinks when there is a 'message' on the phone company voice mail, detected by the studder dial-tone , and NOT when this unit has a message waiting. Sharing the PhoneBook works 'OK' with the following notes; 1) Entries sent from one handset to an other are ADDED to the receiving handset, resulting in duplication(s), 2) I have NOT been able to get the 'Single Entry Move' function to work at all.
Overall, these models are much improved but lack features that would have been easy to have included. Would I recommend purchase of these? YES, for the price they represent the BEST choice on the market at the time we made our buying decision.
Rating: - Great Phones For the price this was a great phone. It was also easy to program another two phone that I got from Amazon.Only thing i couldnt rename the phone for example."Kitchen or Bedroom 1"
Rating: - Panasonic DECT 6 - KX-TG1034S sometimes it would not connect to the base station from my bedroom and voices on the other end would fade in and fade out. i returned it.
Rating: - BIG tradeoff and disappointment Panasonic Dect 6.0 Series 4 Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System (KX-TG1034S)
Tradeoffs- no more interference from other wireless electronics in house/neighborhood, but phone is hard to hold with your shoulder. Also ordered headset which is very uncomfortable.Would not recommend, especially if you have other things to do while talking on the phone - either professionally (can not type at the same time) or domestically (difficult to clean up kitchen, make dinner, fold laundry).Very disappointed-wish I could return (ran out of time).
