| | | DVD Denise Austin: Fit & Firm Pregnancy | | | | | | | | | | | Rating: - It Worked Me Out and I'm lazy I had worked out some before I was pregnant. I had been lifting weights and doing some cardio about 2-3 times a week. This DVD provides me with a short doable workout that I can complete without feeling exhausted for the rest of the day. Denise Austin is cheerful but I find her pleasant and not too perky or annoying. Her moves aren't too complicated. The cardio section seemed a little cheesy but at least it something to get me moving. I think if you've been exercising for a while and are used to intermediate or advanced moves in your workouts than you might not find this DVD challenging enough. If you are a bit of a couch potato like me or you need a little workout to get you moving then this is a good choice.
Rating: - Awsome This is a great workout.Perfect! Thanks to Denise Austin for creating this great video workout.
Rating: - Great Pregnancy Workout I have always liked the simple, and effective workouts by Denise Austin, though prior to getting pregnant I was running everyday, and I thought I would be able to continue that. My first trimester was plagued with an extreme amount of fatigue. This dvd has helped me alot on days when I was too sick or tired to get to the gym. It is fun, simple, and I am always surprised that I break a sweat, and feel my heart rate rise. The toning segments are great and I do the cardio whenever I am too tired to go to the gym. I think it's very effective and recommend to people of all fitness levels.
Rating: - Annoying pregnancy video This video was okay as far as pregnancy workouts go, but I would recommend turning the volume down so that you don't have to listen to Denise Austin saying the same thing over and over again. It is not a strenuous workout in anyway so if you are looking for something to get your heart rate going this wouldn't be for you. If you are just looking for something to get you up and moving than this may be for you, just remember to play some music in the background to drown out her voice...
Rating: - Great for beginners and mothers I can see how a very fit person would find this workout way too easy, but as a person who isn't very fit or coordinated, I think this video is nearly perfect.I get a great workout that didn't make me feel like I was going to keel over from exhaustion, and I don't have to worry about complicated steps that would take me the last 17 weeks of my pregnancy to perfect. As a mother of a 3 year old, working out usually involves climbing over my son or the toys that he throws under my feet, and I didn't have too much problem picking up where I left off in the video after many of those interruptions.
