| | | Kitchen & Housewares Proctor Silex 22605 2-Slice Toaster | | | | | | | | | | | Rating: - Does what is expected from a toaster It does a decent job of making a toast. Pros: cheap, the bread pops up really high. Cons: The toast on one side is darker than the other, it takes time, the light-medium-dark dial doesn't give enough options to get to the perfect toast, white gets dirty easily.
Rating: - what more could I ask? You put the bread in and push down the handle. It toasts the bread and pops it up. It does not make coffee or scramble eggs...it just toasts the bread.I did not find the sides getting hot enough to burn my hands. If it lasts like my last toaster, which was just like this one, I will have paid $1.00 per year for it, I'm happy.
Rating: - great toaster got this for the office... people complain that it "smells like something is burning" whenever anyone uses it, but for the price, its a great office toaster.
Rating: - Wow... cheap AND it works! Who would have thought the least expensive toaster I'd ever purchased would be the best at its toasting task...
Both sides of my bread come out browned pretty evenly.Yes, the outside of the toaster gets hot, but I'd rather have that than an expensive insulated model that doesn't toast evenly.I also like the fact that the slots in this are wide enough for a bagel.
What a deal!
Rating: - Awful quality This toaster is a such a piece of junk that Amazon should be ashamed to sell it.The center heating panels contain only half of the heating elements that the side panels do.What that means is that the toaster won't toast bread with one cycle even on the darkest setting. If you use two cycles, the bread dries out so much that it resembles Melba Toast. In short, buy a different toaster.
