Kitchen & Housewares Breville 800JEXL Juice Fountain Elite 1000-Watt Juice Extractor
page 2 of  20
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - High Quality Product - Highly Recommended
I have used the Juiceman II juicer for several years.I thought it was pretty good.But I wasn't thrilled with with fastening mechanism that held the top in place, the juice spout (which leaked and would over shoot the juice container) and overall construction.Though the product worked pretty well, the white plasticbowl which housed the cutting blade, became discolored by the fruits and veggies that were passed through it, and the product was messy to use.

I just purchased the Breville 800JEXL and am pleasantly surprised.The Stainless Steel Bowl that houses the cutting disc, is a welcome sight.It uses a spigot to fill the juice pitcher and prevents spills and mess.The machine is very quiet, and works very quickly.

Comparingthe Juiceman II to the Breville 800JEXL is similar comparinga Geo Metro to a Lexus (which I don't own, but know the quality standard).Both work, but the quality, ergonomics and consumer experience make the difference.

I have read many reviews before buying this unit and they are accurate.I cannot see a problem with the product after using it 6 times.

The GOOD:

* Quality
* Craftsmanship
* Thoughtful Positioning of the controls
* Low Noise Level
* Ease of Cleaning
* Speed of Operation
* Design
* Steel Bowl and Housing
* Cleans easily with the spray attachment on the sink
* Fits in the dishwasher as advertised

The Bad:

* Electrical cordsits off to the side at the front. (different but qualifies as functional)
* The enclosed cleaning brush has a small diameter head, and the soft bristlesaren't effective in cleaning the cutting disc.

QUALITY. SPEED, and SUPERIOR CRAFTSMANSHIP.

You Get What You Pay For.

TIPS:

* When buying product collect extra produce bags to line the collection bucket, minimizing clean up.
* Wash all the parts of the machine prior to using it. ( a quick wash in the dishwasher)
* Juice yourself Silly.....

The Breville 800JEXL Juice Fountain Elite 1000-Watt Juice Extractor
works extremely well for us.

It holds a great deal of juice, although, we keep a pitcher nearby to increase capacity. Also, the discard bucket is quite large with capability to add a plastic bag for easier cleanup.

For those whom enjoy the benefits of freshly squeezed juice, this powerful machine may be for you!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Breville 800JEXL Juicer was a bit dissappointing
The Breville 800JEXL Fountain juicer looks very attactive, nice and shiny, stainless steel, heavy, powerful, etc., but as far as the amount of juice it actually extracted from vegetables it was very dissapointing!I have the champion juicer and thought I was upgrading by buying the more expensive Breville juicer, but i was wrong.I compared them side by side and got almost double the juice with the champion juicer.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - THE BEST EVER
This juicer has completely changed my life. I have lost weight and actually have less cravings for junk food. I love this juicer!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - this juicer ROCKS!!!!!!
I purchased this juicer after painstaking review of everything out there under $800. I received it last week and am thrilled. I read all of the reviews and took the advice seriously. I fill up a sink full of hot soapy water before juicing and put all the parts in the sink when I'm done. Most of the parts just rinse off. The only part which requires any work at all is the blade and that takes maybe 2 minutes max to get sparkly clean. I put a plastic bag in the waste container and it is done.

I go to the farmers market once a week and prepare (wash and cut) the veggies for the week, so when it is time to juice all I have to do is cut up the apples and fruit which cant be cut in advance.

This thing juices raw beets like they are butter. It is my understanding that many juicers require that you cook beets before juicing. It is amazing.

The only thing I cant figure out is that I get a little splatter sometimes while juicing and I dont know where it is coming from.

The juicer takes up a bit of space when all put together, but it looks great on the counter.

I think I am going to buy a composter, as I am feeling a bit guilty about throwing away all the lovely pulp. I found a great juicing cookbook that has recipes for the pulp, so that helps with some of it.

This is an outstanding product. You will not be sorry if you get this juicer
