| | | Kitchen & Housewares Cuisinart TOB-30BC Classic Toaster Oven/Broiler, Brushed Chrome | | | | | | | | | | | Rating: - Working fine for over 5 years
My husband and I got this toaster oven when we got married almost 5 years ago.And it still works fine.
We use it for toast, broiling fish, and baking small batches of cookies. So far, no problems.
Rating: - Good only for 1 year Worked well for 1 year but after just 14 months, the bake control does not work. In order to work, I put it in between bake and broil but it burns the outside and does not cook the inside. For the amount of money, I expected it to last for more than a year.
Rating: - just tossed mine It's taken me a couple years, but I've finally decided to toss this thing. It always cooked too hot and often burned things. It's worked consistently, though, but between the burning and the body becoming an eyesore (rust), I've dumped it.
Rating: - Made in China junk I bought one of these in 2003.After two years of use, it started electrical arcing and sparking inside.Bought the same model in 2005 to replace it.After 2.5 years of use, the mode selector switch broke internally. After all the quality and poison product recalls from China, I had my suspicions about where this Cuisinart was made.Looked on the back panel, sure enough, "Made in China".Junk.I will say, however, that when it works, it's great.Just don't leave it running unattended.
Rating: - Smoking in2-3 years This worked fine for 2-3 years. We liked it's functioning, etc.- no issues there. However, after 2-3 years of use there would be a "fizzing" sound when turned to bake and a little puff of smoke would come out of top(this was clearly not from burnt food - it came out of the top / side where the control panel is.
Watch out on this - seems a bit unsafe.Switching back to Black and Decker
