My only regret is that I didn't buy one of these sooner.This is a great product. I had heard horror stories about pressure cookers in the past, but these Presto pressure cookers are solid; very well made, and if you follow the directions by watching what you put into it- no jams or anything that would clog the spout, you will love this product.. Never any worries about safety when cooking with this. I think I will get the 6-quart next, as it would be a more useful size for me.

Was looking around to see is there any way to cook some things faster and I found this Presto Pressure Cooker. I can't imagine how we (my wife and me) did all cooking before! It is soooo faster and easier with this pressure cooker. And the size is right for 2-3 people, I like fresh food and this one as I said is just right capacity for our family of 3. If you fill it at max, you even will have some food for next day, but because the whole cooking takes 15-20 minutes from very beginnings to the end it is no longer concern.
Also found that I need to cook usually less time than it is in cookbook. Made in China, but quality is outstanding and overall construction is very sturdy and will last long. I feel it safe enought also, they are 3 different systems integrated so it will not blow in your hands. With no doubt, must have item for every house. I'll get 6-Quart Presto sometime soon to coock large quantities which I will pack using FoodSaver and store in the freezer. It definitely worth every penny and I can't believe it cost only $30.

I love Stainless. This P.Cooker is heavy duty...and heavy! I know it will last for a long time. I think it will be a perfect size for vegies for 2-4 people; might not be large enough to do a "complete meal" for 4. I went to www.gopresto.com and ordered a steamer basket (Item #: 85650 - Stainless Steel Steamer Basket) , the P.Cooker comes with a small separator plate for the bottom. With the exception of the long handle, the look and feel reminds me of the one my Mother used(presto)(and still uses) from the 1960's.Arrived quickly from Amazon...I'm a happy puppy!

Gas and electricity has gone up so much lately.Pressure cookers can help you save by making cooking a lot much faster.
We want this smaller pressure cooker for smaller portions.We use the bigger one if we are expecting guests.Small means easier to clean and easier for wife to handle.It comes with a compact user guide and a small cookbook.
Pressure cookers can be dangerous, so make sure to read the safety precautions.Never fill it more than 2/3.And do not remove the rocker when the pressure valve has not gone down.
Pros:
- Stainless steel.You do not want aluminum for health reasons.
- We own also a 6-quart Presto that has been working for several years now
- Although not as cheap as we want it to be, if you compare it to other manufacturers, you will still save some money.
