I think we all agree it is overdue that these are available on DVD. So, what are you waiting for? Sign the petition to MTV for DVD release!

I give four stars only for that reason.Otherwise, the series deserves a 5+ in my opinion.Truly enigmatic, captivating, and inspiring animation... This series had a great impact on me growing up.

I used to watch liquid television religiously just to see the Maxx shorts.I never quite understood what was going on and only got to see a few episodes due to the fact that MTV would play the same shows over and over again.Still, from time to time, I've wondered how the series ended.I was just talking to my husband about it the other night and it dawned on me that I should use the internet.Alas, no dvd, only vhs.Well, I guess I'll have to buy the videotape, send it to my dad, have him burn it onto a dvd and send it to me here in Iraq.I really loved the few episodes that I saw and now that I know the full series is available. . . I just have to have it.It really sucks that MTV hasn't made it available on dvd.I mean, you can get Laguna Beach and those stupid real world shows.Pop culture today leaves a lot to be desired.MTV. . . put out the frickin' dvd!!!
Rating: - A CULT MASTERPIECE THAT NEEDS DVD RELEASE
I remember seeing "THE MAXX on MTV about 10-12 years ago. I just remember it being a really good, trippy cartoon. I had the opportunity to get this on VHS recently and I was not dissapointed. As the years have gone by, I've grown and changed as a person and things I used to like no longer intrest me. As I watch THE MAXX it hasn't lost any of it's appeal. I'm still finding new corners every time I watch it! The basic story is about a woman named JULIE who was recently the victim of a sexual assault. JULIE works as a case worker for homeless and destitute people. A homeless man named MAXX, who thinks he's some kind of super-hero, has formed a somewhat disfuctional, symbiotic relationship with JULIE. There were many of these type of "CULT CARTOONS" on MTV back in the early to mid-90's that they seem to have discarded, and that is a huge mistake. It's not just nostalgia, If MTV would release it's library of animation on DVD, it would absolutly sell, and introduce a whole new generation to these absolutly great animation pieces.

So, for what can I read, i'm not the only one that thinks MTV (around the world, I have to suffer the latin american version) is now pure garbage.
That gives me hope. An a DVD release will be appropiate. I need it, we deserved it. There's a lot of unique material only on VHS or even in no format at all and a lot of so-call art in the format you want it that I can't believe it. This is a world for low-spectations people.

This was one of my fav comic books from the 90s.The video is spot on match from the comic book. It really isn't an adaptation.Pretty much taken straight from the pages.I would really like to own a copy of this on DVD.
