Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Best Movie Ever
This movie is one of the best ever made. The story is one of Shakespere's few up-beat plots.Kenneth Brannagh plays Henry masterfully and the whole cast is a pleasure to watch. The fnal battle with france is superbly done and heart-wrenching.Love this film.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A masterpiece!
Branagh's Henry is a triumph. I found it to be more real and inspiring than Olivier's.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - This Version of Henry V is number one in quality
Excellent movie! One that portrays the delicate balance of idealism through the ying and the yang of life. Kenneth Brannaugh portrays Henry the Vth with great generosity and complexity as the formerly unproven young royal who, when tested, proves that he has the inner strength to become an inspirational king and earn his people's love. The balance of idealism continues throughout the movie in all areas, even including the battle scenes. As an example, Henry and his men become engaged in the realistically portrayed and very brutal Battle of Agincourt. Immediately after the battle, the movie reflects upon the reality of dealing with the loss of lives with quiet dignity. This is such a fantastic production that I truly believe that there can never be any version of this play made that could possibly be any better. This movie is absolute perfection.Buy it, watch it several times and always enjoy it!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Shakespeare at His Best and Acted by Britain's Finest
This is Shakespeare at its best, and Branaugh isn't bad either. The movie is shot beautifully, and the performances are stellar. Branaugh's screenplay makes the transition from screen to stage seamlessly. His performance is deeply emotional. Branaugh flawless Henry is supported by a throng of Oscar caliber performers. For example, Judi Dench plays a small role, but you'll remember her performance long after the movie's end. Derek Jacobi gives a cameo appearance as the Chorus and pushes the action forward with precision. Jacobi's character functions as the bridge between present and past, so the audience never feels distance from the immediacy and beauty of the text. WONDERFUL! Highly recommended.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Best Shakepeare film ever
This is the best Shakespeare film ever and the best of Kenneth Branagh's Shakespeare film. The cast was dead on Kenneth Branagh, Judi Dench, Derek Jacobi, Brian Blessed etc.

What I can't understand is why the dvd doesn't have any special feature. Why no commmentary by the directors and actors?
