Rating: - Good for beginners. This book is great for beginners. There is a lot of helpful information, ranging from equipment to techniques for different types of photography. I think that this book is perfect for someone like me who is looking to transition from point and shoot to DSLR.
His humor is tolerable if you keep in mind that he's trying to be light hearted.Early on he states that his intent is to give advice to you as he would to a friend.I suppose his humor is intended to be endearing.
Rating: - Excellent book in a great series Very clear and concise solutions for clearly described special and not so special situation. Warning: it made me order a lot of extra equipment in order to try out many of the same things the author describes. You will learn a lot of tricks and develop a closer personal relationship to your photographic equipment. The time I spend with mine has increased dangerously. Highly recommended.
